Building up an email list is a top priority. Why? Well, every time you have a new product you can notify your customers by email and you can insert a link in the email to send your customers to your website. Any time you want to do another marketing survey you can email the survey out to that list. You can reengage the customers you already had and tell them about new products. Out of all channels an email has the highest conversion rate. Think about how often you check your emails a day and isn’t it among the first things you do when you wake up? Emailing your offers on a regular basis gets your customers to buy more products. Email marketing is the key to grow your business. MailChimp is ranked as the no. 1 largest marketing automation platform in the world. You can create a list at MailChimp, send emails and receive responds. Connect MailChimp to your website and create different types of SignUp forms. In order to add MailChimp to your WordPress account, go to “Appearance -Theme Options – General Setting” and embed the code that you have generated at MailChimp below the Header Code. If you don’t have a website you still can use MailChimp and create a mailing list. Select “General Form” as a type of SignUp form. MailChimp will create a link for you. Post that link on a social media platform such as LinkedIn. This link will open up a new page for everyone who clicks on that link.
Create an email marketing campaign with MailChimp.
A few tips from my side: First of all, use the same title for your campaign as you use for your email subject. This will make it easy for you to recognize your campaign later on, especially as you create more. When choosing your preview text, imagine yourself as the recipient of the email. Would you open the email based on the preview text you’ve created? Ensure that you have connected Google Analytics to your MailChimp account. Tracking clicks from your campaign to your website is invaluable. Once you’ve finished creating your email, send a test email to yourself and review it from your customer’s perspective. Click on the links to ensure they’re working, check for any grammar mistakes, and be critical of your content. If you’re satisfied, send out the email immediately or schedule it for automatic sending through MailChimp. The last tip I want to share is to go through your own email account and review your emails. Take note of which emails you’ve opened and what made the subject line stand out. This is an easy way to create your own subject lines for your email campaigns. Spark curiosity by mentioning numbers, such as “3 good reasons to work for yourself,” or by posing a casual question in the subject line, addressing your customer personally, for example: “John, are you ready? Get 3 travel trips for one!” Email Marketing Analytics not only drive traffic to your site but also provide more specific data. MailChimp provides the open rate of your email campaign, which corresponds to your subject line. You also receive the click rate, indicating how many people clicked on your button/link from those who opened your email. Learn from this data. If you haven’t achieved a high response rate, consider what you could do to make your emails more enticing. MailChimp also provides data on when your emails were opened. If there’s a high volume at a specific time, consider sending your emails during that time. Understand and analyze the data for improvements.
